Garden & Nature

The garden at La Maison Louverie is fenced in with a 1.20-meter-high sheep fence. This is to keep your pet and the wildlife safe. Deer, badgers, foxes, and wild boar roam the fields and the forest and we try to keep them safe. Please don’t let your pet chase the wildlife. We try to create a safe space for them. Hunting on the property is forbidden.

We don’t use (and are against) weedkillers or any other kind of chemical solution that is used on driveways, gardens, or trees.

We planted 25 trees in 2023. And nursing 67 walnuts into little walnut trees.

HELPING NATURE: In the field of La Maison Louverie you will find piles of branches and leaves. This is on purpose. We do not burn this because it creates safe havens for small animals like hedgehogs and rabbits.
