Travel information

By car

Using a GPS typing in ‘France, Lieu-dit Couleyrie, 24150 Pontours’ should work. Alternatively just try ‘Couleyrie, Pontours’ or 3498 Route du Plateau.

Using Google Maps? Just give in : La Maison Louverie

The exact GPS coordinates are:  44.818119, 0.795629

If you use -what3words- navigation app then you can type: defeats.richer.sleepovers or perfecting.noting.seclude (https://what3words.com)

Couleyrie is a hamlet of Pontours. There are since July 2021 new street names. The address of La Maison Louverie is 3498 Route du Plateau. But if your GPS can not find it (yet) your GPS will tell you at the street sign of Couleyrie that you have ‘found your destination’. That sign is right in front of the house, you only have to turn into the driveway with the sign ‘La Maison Louverie’ to park your car.

From Bergerac and Perigueux (N21) there are signs to Lalinde, follow those and cross the Roman bridge to the south. (You have the Dordogne river on your left) You drive through Pontours and about 1km after Pontours (you have an orchard with a little boathouse on your left) you turn right at the sign for Couleyrie. Follow that road for less than 3 km and you will find yourself at the ‘center’ of Couleyrie. La Maison Louverie is to the right.

If you come from the direction of Sarlat-de-Caneda or Periqueux (through Le Bugue) then go south and cross the river Dordogne at Le Buisson-de-Cadouin. After crossing the river you go right (direction west D28/29) and follow the signs to Cales and/or Badefols-Sur-Dordogne. After you cross Badefols and after about 0,5 km, you turn left at the sign to Couleyrie. On your right, you have the orchard and the boathouse. Follow that road for less than 3 km and you enter the ‘center’ of the hamlet on top of the hill. La Maison Louverie is to your right.
